Loving and lasting in marriage does take deliberate effort, but it's not all that complicated or difficult if you start with a few basic principles.
In the real world, however, it’s not that easy to find love, unless we turn to someplace unexpected: God. When you encounter love from God, you find pure, unconditional, indestructible, eternal love. This is a love so overwhelming it can take your breath away, so forgiving it can make you weep uncontrollably. It's a love without limits, custom-made just for you.

People appear to either love Sarah Palin or hate her. Without question, she has everyone scratching their heads trying to figure her out. She certainly doesn't fit 'the mold' and it drives bloggers, reporters, political analysts and talk show hosts crazy. In some ways, she reminds me of a particularly charismatic Bible character whose wild popularity invoked a huge followingJohn the Baptist. He didn't conform to people's expectations either. Hordes of people pursued him as growing controversy surrounded him. Some even worshiped him, yet, others hated him so much they wanted him dead. Does that sound somewhat familiar?
What I'd like to know is why? What is it about Sarah Palin that arouses such attraction and countering opposition? Is it her uniqueness? Is it her unorthodox thoughts and behavior (did someone say maverick?) that bring out extreme reactions from both supporters and objectors? Maybe it's her family values and moral convictions? Personally, I think it might have something to do with her allegiance to another kingdom, her 'higher calling.' As a follower of Jesus Christ, could it be that Sarah Palin knows her mission? If she recognizes her membership in God's heavenly kingdom, that charge would come before any duties of this earthly realm. If she is committed to the call of God on her life, a sense of divine purpose would give her boldness and uncompromising courage to do the Lord's will, no matter what this world expectsjust like John the Baptist.
